Hilton Hotel Brisbane

The Hilton Brisbane was originally built in 1986, and the pool/spa that was built at the time was failing. Working with CAA, Aquatic One undertook the design of the project in conformance with the Architect’s brief and the Aquatic Consultant’s design specification. This pool is considered to be innovative as there were several difficulties to overcome with the existing site, some of which required the use of engineering technologies not commonly employed locally for this style of installation.

Designed with a focus on sustainability, the pool is a Myrtha Modular pool structure to reduce the weight, suspended on blade walls atop an acoustic isolation layer. A commercial-grade sand filtration system, automatic salt chlorination system and high-efficiency gas heating system maintains water quality and a custom pool control panel automatically operates all the respective equipment items.
