Miami Aquatic Centre

Established in 1976, the Miami Aquatic Centre serves as the primary aquatic hub for performance and competition swimming for the southern end of the Gold Coast. As stage one of a ten year redevelopment strategy, the centre is receiving significant upgrade works including the provision of a new 50m FINA competition pool, a 20m indoor LTS pool and interactive outdoor splashpad. Aquatic One was engaged by the project architect Liquid Blu to undertake the design and documentation of the new pool filtration, water treatment and circulation systems.

Through years of facility construction and maintenance, City of Gold Coast have developed a list of key priorities for their pool systems. Aquatic One worked in closely with the facility operators to obtain a solid understanding of their operational requirements and integrated in to their design. We incorporated additional elements to increase operator simplicity further, such as automated chemical batching systems and full touch-screen integrated filtration systems.
